NORTH CREEK - A 72-year old skier is hurt after he crashed head-on into a rope barrier at Gore Mountain Ski Resort.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office says Ken Burst was skiing down Echo Trail and tried to ski under a barrier marking a closed trail.

He apparently didn't see the roped-off area and slammed face-first into the rope.

He was rushed to Albany Med with severe facial injuries.

He's listed in fair condition.
