ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's favorability rating is continuing a slide to its lowest level and his job performance rating dropped for the second straight month.

The Cuomo gun control measure the Legislature passed in January doesn't seem to be the cause. Cuomo's drop in support is seen among Democrats and independents.

The Siena College poll found Cuomo's favorability rating was 64 percent. That's down from 67 percent last month and 72 percent in December.

The poll released Monday also found 54 percent of those polled felt Cuomo was doing an excellent or good job. That's down from 58 percent last month and 60 percent in January.

The poll questioned 803 voters March 3 through Friday. It has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
