Outside demolition work begins at Latham Circle Mall

LATHAM - Demolition work has started on the outside of the old Latham Circle Mall in Latham.
Work inside started last week.
A large portion of the old mall is being torn down, to make way for a new, outdoor shopping area to be called the "Shoppes at Latham Circle".
Only JCPenney, Lowe's, and the old Regal Cinemas space is not being demolished.
The theatre closed last month, but there is speculation a new entertainment venue will take over the spot. An opening date for the new shopping area has not been announced.
