South Glens Falls will have a new mayor.

Joe Orlow beat out incumbent Keith Donohue by a vote of 255-to-149, on Tuesday night.

The vote marked the first time in 36 years voters had a choice between candidates.

Robert Phinney served for 32 years without a challenger.

Orlow challenged Donohue at the Republican caucus and won, so he had the Republican line.

Donohue ran on a line called Bulldog Pride.

It was a tribute to the school's mascot.
