SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - Officials say they sometimes get uninvited overnight guests in city hall: Homeless people.

The Saratogian newspaper reports that two city commissioners in Saratoga Springs mentioned during Tuesday's City Council meeting that homeless people are occasionally found sleeping inside the public building that houses the police department.

The city hall security issue was on the agenda after a 21-year-old man was arrested before dawn last weekend after police said he heaved a cement block through a city hall side door and smashed a window on the top floor.

The commissioners say homeless people are caught sleeping in city hall once or twice each winter. The officials say city hall's front doors are kept open late when public meetings are in session.
