ALBANY – On Wednesday, Microsoft teamed up with the University at Albany and other to try and get more high school girls interested in pursuing hi-tech careers.
The Fourth Annual Microsoft Digi-Girls day drew 100 high school girls this year to UAlbany’s downtown campus.
Organizers say this year was the first time they had to turn some people away.
They just didn't have the space.
They say the girls came from 12 schools and one home school group, all in the Capital Region.
At the event, these girls were introduced to the latest innovations in technology, took part in hands on workshops and met high tech business leaders locally.
