TROY - An anonymous donor is giving Saint Peter's Health Partners a financial shot in the arm.
This un-named person is donating $10 Million to help pay for major renovations to the health systems facilities in Troy, including Samaritan and Saint Mary's hospitals.
Folks with Saint Peter's Health Care say this is the largest individual gift ever bestowed on a health care institution in the history of Troy and Rensselaer County.
“To say we're excited, to say we're energized, none of those words capture the true spirit of what this donation has done for this project in terms of where we are going, where we want to be and giving us the momentum to get there,” said Norman Dascher Jr. of St. Peter’s Health Partners.
The Troy Master Facilities Plan is a three phased, $150 million project which is due to be completed in the mid 2020's.
