SARATOGA SPRINGS - It's been 150 years since horses first raced down the track at Saratoga.
To mark that historic milestone, community leaders are planning to party like it's 2013.
They are planning dozens of events and sanctioning dozens more.
At a news conference Tuesday, organizers unveiled a new tribute to the stars of the show.
They've announced a first-of-its kind Hoofprints Walk of Fame, honoring the best horses to race at Saratoga. It was the idea of John Hendrickson.
"And there was really never one called the hoofprints walk of fame where the fans on an every day basis, could look and see the greatest horses that ever raced at Saratoga," said Hendrickson.
The walk of fame will be outside the clubhouse entrance to the track, near the jockey fountain.
The first 30 horses to be honored in stone, were announced today.
The tribute to the horses is timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of the track.
On each Saturday of the meet, there's a chance to bet 15-thousand dollars of John Hendrickson and Marylou Whitney's money.
And Marylou is organizing an old-fashioned ice cream social at the Canfield Casino in Congress Park.
"I Love Saratoga. I will do whatever I can for this wonderful town and for the racetrack, for ever and ever," said Whitney.
