SARATOGA SPRINGS - It happened at the Whitmore Court Apartment complex on Crescent Street. Police say there was a party at one of the apartments early Saturday morning and one of the party-goers was asked to leave.
His name is Theodore Pamper. He's 24-years-old and on felony probation.
Police say Pamper was angry for being ejected from the party, so he rounded up four friends, including 25-year-old Ryan Barber, and his sister, 30-year-old Aubrey Barber, a mother of four.
"Get that camera out of my face, right now," Aubrey Barber said as she was led into the police station for booking Thursday afternoon.
All of the suspects are accused of going back to the party and attacking the man who lives in the apartment.
"Beat the person up with a hammer, other blunt objects, kicked him, punched him, dragged him out in the hallway and continued to do the same," said Lt. John Catone of the Saratoga Springs Police Department.
Police call it a gang assault because of the number of attackers involved.
Lt. Catone says the victim suffered head injuries and was taken to Saratoga Hospital.
The suspects are all facing felony burglary and felony assault charges.
Police say they expect to arrest the other two alleged attackers.
"All of the participants knew each other and were just upset that they weren't allowed to stay at the party," said Catone. "Once they got thrown out, they chose to come back with some reinforcement."
Police say the victim was released from the hospital and is recovering at home. Each of the suspects had not-guilty pleas entered on their behalf before they were taken to Saratoga County Jail.
