BENNINGTON, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont man has pleaded not guilty to taking a half a ton of copper from a former school.

Thirty-one-year-old Gregory Croff of Bennington pleaded guilty to one count of burglary on Wednesday.
Police said copper and brass were reported taken from the former Mount Anthony Middle School in Bennington earlier this month. The estimated loss was $75,000.
The Bennington Banner reports a state prosecutor indicated more people will likely be charged.
