FONDA, N.Y. (AP) - One of two teenage boys accused of killing two other teens has pleaded guilty.

Sixteen-year-old Matt Phelps of the town of Florida pleaded guilty to second-degree murder, admitting he took part in the shootings of 13-year-old Johnathan DeJesus and 16-year-old Paul Damphier, both of Amsterdam, last year.

He's expected to be sentenced July 11 to from 15 years to life in prison under the terms of a plea bargain Wednesday in Montgomery County Court.

As part of the deal, he agreed to testify against 16-year-old Anthony Brasmeister of Amsterdam, who's facing two counts of second-degree murder.

The victim's bodies were found in a soybean field outside Amsterdam on July 19, nine days after they were reported missing.
