NISKAYUNA - Among the thousands of people told to stay in their homes tonight is Niskayuna native, Kristen Jackson.

Kristen lives in South Boston and woke up to the sound of police helicopters and then couldn't turn off the TV.

NewsChannel 13 spoke to her on the phone Friday morning.

She says most of the significant police activity was west of her home, but she was still told to stay inside.

The day of the marathon, she was only blocks away from the explosion.
