LAKE GEORGE - More than 2,400 acres , including two small mountains with hiking trails, have been sold to New York State through the Environmental Protection Fund.
The fund is said to help protect the scenery and water quality of Lake George and its watershed.
The land sold includes Cat and Thomas Mountains in Warren County, which was previously owned by the Lake George Land Conservancy.
