SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) - A fight promoter has been charged with holding unsanctioned boxing and mixed martial arts matches in two Capital Region locations, including a bout that ended when a teenager was knocked out by an opponent more than twice his age.

NewsChannel 13's media partners at The Post-Star of Glens Falls reports that 39-year-old David Archambault of Fort Edward has been charged by the state Attorney General's Office with reckless endangerment and violating New York's combative sports act for matches he promoted in Saratoga Springs in and Lake George in 2001.

Archambault was also charged with endangering the welfare of a child for the Saratoga bout for allegedly allowing a 16-year-old boy to fight a 34-year-old man. Authorities say the match ended in about 15 seconds when the man knocked the teen unconscious.

Archambault couldn't be reached for comment.
