ALBANY – On Friday, April 26, Albany County Law Enforcement agencies will be participating in Project Access, a handicapped parking enforcement effort.

Project Access is aimed at targeting motorists that park illegally in spaces reserved for motorists with disabilities.

This is the 51st effort since the program was launched in December of 1994.  More than 2,400 tickets have been issued resulting in over a quarter of a million dollars in fines.

The goal of Project Access is to increase awareness and compliance of handicapped parking laws.
