Bethlehem votes to keep highway superintendant position

BETHLEHEM - There was heavy turnout for a vote Tuesday to eliminate the position of highway superintendent for the town.

The proposal was defeated by over 60 percent. There were over 3,000 "no" votes and just under 2,000 votes in favor of abolishing the post.

The town has over 35,000 people.
