Watervliet woman charged with felony assault

A Watervliet woman is facing felony assault charges after police say she stabbed a man at a house party.

Watervliet Police responded to a report of a stabbing on Hillside Drive around 12:50 Sunday morning. Upon arrival police say they found a 44 year old man laying in the front lawn with several stab wounds.

The man, whose identity has not been released, is being treated for his injuries at Albany Med.

41 year old Jihada "Onyx" Murray is charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon, both felonies. Police say Murray was fighting with the victim about some property when she allegedly stabbed him multiple times in the stomach, hands and face.

Murray is being held at Albany County Correctional Facility without bail. No word on the condition of the victim.
