The Albany Symphony Orchestra performs at Carnegie Hall.

NEW YORK -- The Albany Symphony Orchestra is the only one in the country to have been selected twice to play at a prestigious music festival at Carnegie Hall.

ASO is one of five orchestras in the Spring for Music festival this year. It showcases North American orchestras who perform creative and adventurous programs.

One of ASO's founders, Tom Morris, says the Albany Symphony consistently gets it right.

"They take risks, they do interesting programs and they're known nationally and internationally as champions of American music," Morris said.

Four hundred and fifty fans of the orchestra also made this second journey to Carnegie Hall.n addition to fans, a boisterous standing ovation for pianist Kevin Cole filled the concert hall walls.

The performance was Wednesday night.
