ALBANY - Verbal sparring came during the endorsement for the city's next mayoral candidate.
One Corey Ellis supporter wanted to know why Kathy Sheehan was being endorsed when the review panel chose Jennings, saying the Democratic Committee should re-open the interviews with mayoral candidates. He made a motion to table the nomination.
But once the endorsement was official, Sheehan told reporters she was honored.
Sheehan is currently the city treasurer and her opponent Ellis is a former Common Council member.
Marlon Anderson, a community activist, is also in the race. Pointing to what happened Wednesday, he says what we don't need in Albany is a political circus and he wants to end it.
