ALBANY - The Historic Albany Foundation has spent the past 10 years trying to save St.  Joseph's Church, but it's giving the building back to the city Thursday night.

The group announced Thursday it will transfer the church back to Albany by the end of this month.

Over the past decade, the Historic Albany Foundation has worked to stabilize the building while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for it as well.

There's no word yet on the building's future.
