MENANDS - The village is hoping to brighten up the area with the Grow Menands movement.

They are asking residents and businesses to participate by planting some more colorful flowers in their yards.

Vendors at the farmers market will offer discounts on flowers to the residents of Menands every Saturday in May.

A panel of judges will be traveling around the village at the end of June to award Grow Menands signs to the most colorful home and the most colorful business.
