LAKE GEORGE - Lake George is out of the casino race, thanks to a deal struck today between the state of New York and the St. Regis Mohawk Nation.

That deal announced this afternoon gives the Mohawks exclusive rights in 8 northern counties, including Hamilton and Warren Counties.

It also resolves a three year dispute over gaming issues.

Governor Cuomo wants three casinos built upstate.

So far, he has not specified any desired sites.
