Guilderland High School baseball manager Doug LaValley earned his 150th career win Tuesday with a 1-0 victory over Ballston Spa.

LaValley and his Dutchmen hosted Ballston Spa in the first round of the Section II Class AA tournament.

This one was a pitcher's duel. Both teams left a bunch of runners on base.

But with a man on third base in the bottom of the fifth inning, Zach Formica came through with a sacrifice fly to left, driving in Joe Bender to score the game’s only run.

The Dutchmen got a terrific outing from pitcher Tim Coppinger, who held holding the Scotties scoreless through six innings.
