Schenectady man wanted for murder, arrested in Rome, NY

ROME - A Schenectady man wanted for a double murder has been captured in the woods in Rome, New York.

Police in Rome say they found 26-year-old Aaron Welch after an intense search through the woods using dogs and helicopters.

Police say he was spotted running from a neighborhood where two people were stabbed to death yesterday morning.

At this point, Welch has not been charged with the murders.
