New information in deadly motorcycle crash

MILTON – Police are releasing more information about a motorcycle crash that killed a Burnt Hills man.

They say the victim, 19-year-old Thomas Jansen, was speeding when he lost control and crashed into a guiderail on Route 67.

He died at Ellis Hospital.

A motorcycle permit holder who was with Jansen, 18-year-old Alex Gage, faces charges for leaving the scene of the accident, and operating his motorcycle alone.

Police say Gage’s motorcycle was also unregistered.
