Claverack man accused of threatening local Apple Farmer

A Claverack man is facing charges after police say he threatened a local Apple Farmer with a firearm.

According to State Police in Livingston, troopers responded to the call on Fish and Game Road on Saturday. The farmer reports that his neighbor was upset that he was spraying his apple trees.

Police arrested 64-year-old David Ensign; he is charged with Criminal Possession of a Firearm and Menacing. Both are misdemeanors.

Ensign was released on an appearance ticket. He's due in Claverack Town Court July 9th.
