Paving accident sends employee to hospital

WYNANTSKILL– A North Greenbush man is in serious condition after he was accidentally hit by a dump truck.

Police say the blacktop dump truck from Albany Asphalt and Aggregates Corporation backed up and accidentally hit 34-year-old Christopher Premo, who is an employee of the private paving company, while they were working on a roadway project with the town.

The accident happened on Fairfax Street around 12:25 Wednesday afternoon.

Christopher is the son of the Highway Superintendent Mark Premo.

He was taken to Albany Med for his injuries and remains there in serious condition.

The investigation is still ongoing, but no charges have been filed at this time.
