Gillibrand pushes for more money to control invasive species

US Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is pushing Washington to spend more money to control the spread of an invasive species in New York State - the Emerald Ash Borer.

It’s an insect that eats away at ash trees and its confirmed in 15 New York counties including Albany and Greene.

Gillibrand sent a letter to US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack urging him to invest more money for research and eradication.
