SCHENECTADY - The Mont Pleasant Boys and Girls Club is undergoing an extreme makeover.
A committee of residents called "Giving 4-Ward" proposed a $200 thousand remodeling project.
Thanks to donations from companies like Lowe's, Trustco Bank and others, the project is now underway.
“This is gonna be an unbelievable project. The kids are gonna be so thrilled when they come here in September,” said Darlene Zeh of the Mont Pleasant Boys and Girls Club .
The Mont Pleasant Boys and Girls Club is one of 16 in Schenectady County.
In 2012, nearly 12,000 children participated in programs throughout the organization.
