The driver of a car blamed for causing the two car crash that killed two Shenendehowa High School students took the stand on Friday during a pre-trial that lasted hours, along with first responders to the crash.
Dennis Drue was a Siena College student when his car allegedly crashed into the back of another car on the Northway last winter as they were coming home from the Siena-UAlbany basketball game.
Shenendehowa High School students Chris Stewart and Deanna Rivers were killed. Two other students in the car: Matt Hardy of Shenendehowa and Shaker student Bailey Wind were badly injured but have recovered.
Drue is free on bond.
