ALBANY - A report from the state Inspector General's Office finds a lack of supervision at a state-operated power plant in Albany.
The report on the Sheridan Avenue Steam Plant finds problems including drinking on the job, staff members watching TV and unauthorized break rooms.
The steam plant produces heat and air conditioning for Empire State Plaza.
Seven employees were fined or docked pay because of the findings of the report.
The inspector general is calling for further oversight, bi-monthly tours of the facility and new training for supervisors.
