Noisy party leads to handgun arrest in Albany

ALBANY – A loud party ended with the arrest of an Albany man for weapons possession.
Police were called to the 300 block of Orange Street around 1:30 a.m. Sunday. That’s where they found a large group of people drinking alcohol and making noise inside of a home.
One of the officers spotted 41-year-old Eric Berkley with what appeared to be a gun in his waistband. It turned out to be a loaded .38 caliber handgun.
Berkley was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. He was arraigned Sunday morning and sent to the Albany County Jail.
