ALBANY - Police have a man in custody following some scary moments for a woman and her young child.
Scott Miller, 21, of Albany is accused of holding them against their will using a box cutter.
Police say Miller went into a home on Lawnridge Avenue on August 20 and held the victims in a bedroom.
According to Police, Miller knows the woman and child.
Charges allege Miller told them he would "kill them all" if they made any noise and he hit the woman and held a pillow over her face.
The woman did not suffer serious injuries, but the ordeal lasted longer than five hours.
Police say Miller eventually stole the woman's car and cell phones. Verizon helped investigators track down the car and he has been arrested at his home.
