Police say when this dog was found it was severely malnourished and showing signs someone may have tried to drown it.
AMSTERDAM - Two people are under arrest in Amsterdam in connection with an abused puppy.
Police say the mixed-breed puppy, about 8 months old, was found Sunday on Union Street. The dog is emaciated and shows signs someone may have tried to drown it.
The dog, now named "Dolce," is currently being treated at the Montgomery County SPCA.
Michael Murray, 27, and Jodiann McLeod, 26, are facing a slew of charges including aggravated animal cruelty. They allegedly told police that the puppy had run away a few days ago and told investigators they could keep the dog if they found her because they didn't want her anymore.
