EAST GREENBUSH - A Rensselaer man with three drunk driving convictions on his record could soon add a fourth.

Police say 35-year-old Christopher Berhaupt ran a stop sign in East Greenbush early Saturday morning.

When police stopped him, authorities say he refused to take field sobriety tests, then wrestled with officers as they tried to handcuff him.

Once in the police cruiser, we're told Berhaupt made several attempts to hurt himself.

He's since been released from Albany Memorial Hospital and is in the county jail without bail.
