TROY – Firefighters responded to two separate blazes in Rensselaer County.

Investigators are still determining the cause of a house fire overnight on St. Vincent Street in Troy.

An assistant fire chief says the home was vacant at the time. It had no gas or electric service.

Firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading and no one was hurt.

There was also a garage fire early Monday morning in Rensselaer near the intersection of Broadway and Central. No one was hurt.

There is no word yet on the cause for that fire either.
