Severe storms have been moving through the Capital Region.

There are widespread reports of trees and power lines down throughout the area.

In Albany, flash flooding trapped one woman in her car.

In Colonie, police were out with flashing lights, trying to help a car stalled in high water.

Significant flooding also shut down part of Route 9 in Latham, and a small road off 787 in Cohoes.
