KINDERHOOK - State police say speeding caused Thursday's fuel tanker truck rollover accident in Columbia County. They say the truck was going too fast around the traffic circle on routes 9 and 9H when it overturned.
Paul Rondeau, 30, was cited for speeding.
Thousands of gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway. Rondeau may also face charges for the fuel spill.
The traffic circle was closed for hours. Route 9 has since reopened. Route 9H south to Keagan Road remains closed.
