FORT EDWARD - There is an emergency meeting in Fort Edward to find ways to save 200 jobs at the General Electric plant.
GE announced it wants to close the Fort Edward facility a year from now and move capacitor manufacturing to Florida.
Fort Edward says it could mean a $25 million blow to the local economy.
The union vows to fight the closing.
The meeting is for union workers, state lawmakers and economic development officials. It's set for 1:30 at the Crandall Library.
