TROY -- Troy Middle School celebrated a grand re-opening Saturday, after a two year period of construction.
The event celebrated the 56.2 million dollar renovation to what was formerly known as Doyle Middle School.
There are new computer labs, classrooms, and a brand new auditorium.
Troy Schools Superintendent John Carmello called the Troy Middle School project "one of the most significant educational projects in the Capital Region."
He also said, "This project is an outstanding example of how changes to the infrastructure of a building can assist in the transformation of an education program. The new culture that will be created will help move our students toward college and career readiness, with advantages that will propel the students of Troy to new levels of success. "
