State Forest Rangers are warning hikers in the Adirondacks about aggressive black bears.

This, after a woman says she stabbed one of the animals.

The woman tells the Adirondack Daily Enterprise, she was hiking on the Northville-Placid trail in Hamilton County when three bears started following her.

When one got too close, she stabbed it with a knife.

DEC officials say there have been several recent encounters with nuisance bears along that stretch of trail.
