TROY - A former candidate for family court judge in Rensselaer County is now charged with DWI.
A spokeswoman for the city of Troy confirms that police arrested Amy O'Connor Thursday night after she allegedly hit three parked cars on 4th Street.
Police caught up with O’Connor on 5th Avenue and charged her with DWI and a few other traffic violations.
O'Connor lost her bid for judge last November. According to her online bio for that election, she graduated from Albany Law School and spent more than a decade in private practice. Her husband, also a private practice attorney, represents the city of Troy in a civil case.
