As part of an Olympic Training Program that began in Nairobi, Kenya in 2012, a team of Kenyan runners will be calling Schenectady home for the next 4-5 months.
The team is made up of three women and three men. The group will be based in Schenectady and will compete in major races nationally under the guidance of Coach Paul Mbugua and former Kenyan world class runner Dr. Tim Maggs.
The six-person team is participating in Sunday's 'Nick's Run to be Healed' 5k race to support the community and raise awareness for childhood cancer. The race benefits the non-profit organization, Nick's Fight to be Healed.
