Albany father pleads guilty to stealing daughter's identity

Kelvin Sferrazza, 25, of Albany, pleaded guilty to one count of identity theft in the first degree after he used his daughter's social security number to wrongfully obtain loans and social security benefits.
The defendant faces up to one to three years in prison for that charge.
In addition to prison time, Sferraza was ordered to pay restitution of $21,000 to SEFCU and Community Resource Federal Credit Union, and over $19,000 to the Social Security Administration.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 4.
