Firefighters respond to a blaze on Sherman Street in Albany.
ALBANY - Fire destroyed a vacant house Tuesday morning in Albany.
The fire started a little after midnight in the 100 block of Sherman Street.
The battalion chief says there were heavy flames when they arrived on the scene. It took more than an hour to get them knocked down.
No one was injured.
The cause is under investigation.
