ALBANY – The man accused of murdering the brother-in-law of a Sandy Hook shooting victim has pleaded guilty to homicide.
Brandon Burritt was pleaded guilty in Albany County Court on Tuesday.
Back in April, Burritt stabbed his roommate David Hochsprung to death with a kitchen knife.
He then tried to cover it up by stabbing himself.
David Hochsprung was the brother-in-law of Dawn Hochsprung. She was the principal of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Ct., where 20 kids and six adults died in a shooting massacre last December.
Burritt faces up to 18 years in prison when he is sentenced in November.
