Glenville Police say they have a man in custody they believe was responsible for a robbery at the Target store on Saratoga Road.

34-year-old Jeremy Bacon of Delanson is accused of stealing a pair of hiking boots from the retail chain. Police say Bacon put the boots on and tried to walk out of the store, but was stopped by Target employees.

According to police, when the employees confronted Bacon, he tried to hit them with his closed fists and a shopping bag before fleeing. Police say they caught up to Bacon in the Village of Scotia.

Bacon is charged with Robbery and Petit Larceny as well as Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance. He is being held in Schenectady County Jail.
