The former president of Finch Paper LLC in Glens Falls is getting back into the paper business.
Joseph Raccuia purchased Morcon, Inc. after nine years away from the paper industry. He purchased the Cambridge-based business from Wayne Morris, the man who founded the company in 1987.
Morcon, Inc. buys large rolls of paper products from paper manufacturers, cuts them into smaller rolls and sheets, and packages and sells them through wholesale distributors for use in the commercial, food service, healthcare and industrial markets.
The company employs 85 people in its Cambridge location. It has another facility in South Carolina.
Raccuia hopes to open additional locations in the central and western parts of the country.
