GUILDERLAND - An ex-fire chief has now been charged with two additional counts of arson.

The two new charges come as Matthew Woelfersheim was set to appear in court on the first charge.

The most recent fire was set on Monday to a barn on Stone Road.

It follows two fires on Carman Road.

NewsChannel 13 has also learned that Woelfersheim was charged with Petit Larceny last year.

He was accused of stealing equipment and money from the Schaghticoke Fire Department - where he was once Assistant Chief.  He pleaded guilty to a reduced charge and paid the money back.
