ALBANY - Members of ‘Occupy Albany’ were back in Academy Park.
They gathered there late Monday afternoon to celebrate a birthday.
The movements started two years ago, in conjunction with Occupy Wall Street.
People camped out in the park until they were evicted three months later.
We asked about their successes and failures over the past two years.
"The kind of main thrust of the occupy movement is 'A', our economics are broken, 'B' that the political system isn't addressing them, and 'C' any solutions need to be people powered and community based," says Daniel Plaat of Occupy Albany.
Platt says two years is too short a time to measure the impact of a social movement, and the large-scale changes it is capable of making.
